Happy Halloween!!!
Zoe's first Halloween was a smashing success! We had been prepping her for several days, trying to convince her that trick-or-treating was going to be fun. She has, after all, been thoroughly confused by this holiday from the get-go...the pumpkins, the carving...what's that all about? After the issues we had with our dance clothes and an earlier attempt to put on the Notre Dame cheerleading uniform, we were expecting some resistance. Mommy, in her infinite wisdom, found the key!! I just kept telling her, "Zoe, if you put this on, people will give you CANDY!!" She wasn't sure how that was going to work, exactly, but she was willing to give it a try if it meant she got candy out of it. Well, in pure Zoe style, by the second house she was leading the charge! The hardest part was holding her back. Now our biggest issue may be what to tell her when she wants to do this all again tomorrow. God Bless America and our silly holidays.
