The 2 month anniversary of Zoe's Gotcha Day has come and gone, much to the amazement of us all. What surprised us more than anything was that we didn't even realize it until the day afterwards. I guess with the comfort level being so high, we keep forgetting she hasn't been here forever. Caleb and Zoe are acting like true siblings at this point and WOW! He has learned the fundamental truth of all big brothers -- little sisters are a pain! She loves to follow him around and get into his stuff and copy what he does and sneak into his room and take away whatever he has in his hand...and on and on and on. He's dealing with it remarkably well, although his new favorite phrase seems to be, "Zoe, you're making me crazy." Yep, things are pretty normal around here!

In other news, Zoe is now jumping off the side of the pool into the water and doggy-paddling all over the place. I still can't believe she's doing it, but the child just has no fear. Now, if we could get her to close her mouth when she jumps in she wouldn't wind up swallowing so much of the pool water. But she gets this great look on her face as she goes airborne -- sort of a Look-at-what-I-can-do expression -- and is laughing as she enters the water...mouth wide open every time. Other things of note -- Zoe went to her first movie and had a ball!! Of course, this adventure involved food, so she was all for it. We have also discovered that Zoe snorts when she laughs. This is a relatively new development and hearing it always makes the rest of us crack up as well. She's using more and more English words - yesterday's word was "elephant." She was very proud of that one. Honestly though, I really think what's driving her to learn more English words is gaining the ability to tell on her brother. Hey, whatever works!
