Zoe and her cousin, Jack

It's been a pretty typical week around here this week and while that doesn't lead to very interesting blog entries, I feel like I should take a moment to recognize how incredible that "typical-ness" really is. Something someone said to me made me realize (or maybe just remember) that Zoe's adjustment to being a part of our family has really been very easy, especially compared to what a rough time some kids have. Here we are just a few days shy of our 7 month anniversary and it's just amazing how much she has changed. Gone is the tiny, vulnerable little girl we first met. Zoe today is confident and very, very much at home. She loves preschool, Disney princesses, and the color purple. She talks and sings constantly, in English, and is easily understood. She loves to tease her big brother and gives as good as she gets. The first thing Zoe asks anywhere we go these days is, "So, are we gonna eat?" We were talking tonight about how funny it is that she seems to have completely grown into her name. When we think about some of the names we considered for her, it's hard to imagine her as anything other than Zoe because she is SUCH a Zoe. So, here's to a typical week. What a kid!
